What country has the Longest Christmas Celebration?
Hi Guys! I hope everyone’s keeping themselves warm and in good shape despite the coldness of the winter season.
Have you seen the Kikko English School’s Christmas Party blogs? Well, if you haven’t, you can check it out on our social media account posts. You shouldn’t miss it! Because today, I’m going to feature the country which has the Longest Christmas Celebration. No other than my very own – the Philippines through a video clip so that you can have a clear imagination of how we celebrate Christmas. One very important thing that you should know is that we start the celebration from SEPTEMBER. Yes, you read it right! We call the months of September to December the “BER” months meaning Christmas is near so you could hear Christmas songs playing all over the radio stations or even at home. There may be even Christmas carol singers who would visit your homes sometimes at night from September. So now, here’s a short video, happy watching!
Different Celebrations….
Celebrating Christmas and New Year differs from each country around the world depending on their customs and traditions. Some celebrates it gorgeously extravagant, some with fancy decors and Christmas tree, some have lots of food on their tables while others have it simple and solemn. But in any kinds of celebration, I do believe we all have that one Christmas Spirit which is Peace, Love and Unity not only among family members but with others as well. This is the time when countries stop the war and reconcile (even just for a while), time for forgiveness if you had been hurt by someone likewise a time to ask for it if you have done others wrong. In short, everybody tries to be happy or give happiness to someone.
Japan also have its own way of celebrating the season and as far as I know, Every family focuses on the New Year’s celebration and so family reunions and gatherings are everywhere. Wherever you may be or whatever celebration you’re planning, I hope you’ll Enjoy it. You may be looking back and being thankful for this year’s moments and wondering what kind of year is in store for you in 2019.
