親睦を深めるイベント
This year’s Summer vacation was short but we were still able to enjoy it because as we all know…it won’t last and before we knew it, it’s already Fall!
So we, made the most of it.
夏休み、満喫しましたよ！
We, the management and staff of Kikko English School (minus our Japanese teachers) got the chance to go on an overnight trip at Makinohara-Shizunami. It was a day full of fun and laughters while being away from work and the city. We were able to share experiences and just relax and refresh for another quarter of the school year. We believe that we have to balance everything, more work with a little “play” makes us determined and motivated for our goals.
きっこイングリッシュスクールで、静波海岸へ一晩、旅行したのー。 仕事や街から離れて、１日中、楽しく笑っていました！ 経験や学びを共有し、リラックスし、リフレッシュすることができました。 バランスが大切ですよね。少しの「遊び」で、また多くの仕事をすれば、私たちは自分たちの目標に向かって進んでいけますからね。
Outing with Friends
Summer is also a chance to meet, bond and go out with friends to see the beauty of some places nearby. We sang for 5 hours in a karaoke, bus tour at Tahara City plus melon picking! It was really fun 😊 despite of the weather forecast that typhoon will be coming on that day, fortunately, the weather became fine and so we were able to pursue with the trip.
夏はまた、友だちと会うチャンスでもあるよね、近くの美しい場所に一緒に出掛けたりもできる。 田原市のバスツアー、メロン狩りでカラオケでは5時間歌いましたー！ 台風の天気予報でしたが本当に楽しい時間でした。
Sisters’ adventures
As you all know Teacher Jake is a very active person, despite her asthma (since elementary years), she always thinks of things-to-do to make her busy and summer will not just pass by without some new experiences.
皆さんが知っているように、ジェイク先生は喘息にもかかわらず（初等教育以来）非常に積極的。彼女は忙しくすることを常に考えているの。
Bouldering
Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that is performed on small rock or artificial rock walls, known as boulders, without the use of rope or harnesses.
ボルダリングは、ロープやハーネスを使用せずに、小さな岩や人工の岩壁で行われる岩登り。
She tried this sport with Teacher Shella, (it seems they have some things in common) 🤔 at Play Mountain in Moriyama. It was their first time but they did really great and I was amazed of how they climbed those walls! 😲 I’m happy to do my role as a photographer and driver 😁
彼女は森山のPlay Mountainで Shella先生と一緒にこのスポーツを試しましたのね。
初めてでしたが、彼女たち、本当に素晴らしかった！どうやって、あの壁に登ったのかと、びっくりしちゃった！ 私はカメラマンと運転手（笑）
Batting…
Being a softball player in her college days, she had long been asking me to take her to a batting center and at last! I found one not so far from our place – the Tokiwa Batting Center in Owari-asahi City.
彼女は大学時代にソフトボール選手だったので、前から彼女は、わたしに打球センターに連れていってと頼んでいました！ 尾張旭市のバッティングセンターは、近くて良かったですよ。
Camping
We went on an overnight camping at Moritipia Aichi. It was also my first time to go on a camping so I was more than excited and enjoyed even under the heat of the sun with a temperature of 41 degress. We arrived at the place at lunch time, then we bought food for dinner and had barbeque at the campsite. The next day, we woke up early to hike to Kamenoishi Falls. It took us one and a half hour to get there only to find a dried up falls 😭 but nevertheless, it was still fulfilling to feel the nature while forest bathing in the woods.
私たちは、Moritipia愛知で一晩キャンプに行ったの。 キャンプに行くのも初めてのことだったので、41度の太陽の下でも興奮して楽しかった！ 昼食時にその場所に着いてから、夕食のために食べ物を買い、キャンプ場でバーベキュー。 翌日、早めに目を覚まして亀の石滝に登ったの。 滝を見つけるためには1時間半かかったけど、森の中で森林浴をしながら自然を感じましたー。
Running
Aside from swimming, we also run once in a while to keep us physically fit but this time only Teacher Jake was in the mood to run from Kikko (Moriyama) to our home (Kozoji). She ran for more than 5 kilometers right after work. Oh I don’t think I have that adrenaline 😮 so while she ran, I drove ☺️ in going back home 🏡
水泳以外にも、私たちは走ったりもしていますが、今回はジェイク先生は、仕事の後、スクール（守山）から家に帰るときに、5キロ以上走ったの！ 私はそのアドレナリンを持っていないので、彼女が走っている間、車で帰ったけどね。
Summer isn’t over yet, so I hope you get to do what you want to before it’s too late! 😂 We got our share of happiness this season may it be in school with our students or outside with our friends.
夏はまだ終わっていないよ。終わる前にしたいことをやってね！ 今シーズンは幸せ！みなさんや友だちと一緒だから！
