I hope you’re fine and in good health despite the cold season.
Continue doing precautions against colds and “influenza”.
Today, let me share to you my lesson today for the Intermediate class.
Of course it’s always challenging and fulfilling to teach English not only to small kids and elementary, high school students but to professionals as well.
Our topic was about Learning Styles and I just thought of sharing this to you as it will help you guide your children in their studies or what field/subject they want to concentrate in and/or having difficulties; or may be you can apply this if you are learning/studying yourself.
Once in our lifetime or maybe sometimes, we have had trouble learning something and we just thought we aren’t concentrating hard enough.
But the truth is, maybe the presentation didn’t fit our learning style.
When we’re trying to learn, it helps to know how our brain works.
How do we best gather and organize information?
Different people have different learning styles.
For example, one person might struggle with written information but understand it immediately in an illustration.
Another person might have problems with the picture, but not the written text.
Psyschologists have identified seven basic learning styles:
Linguistic: These people learn by using language – listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
Logical: These people learn by applying formulas and scientific principles.
Visual: These people learn by seeing what they are learning.
Musical: Instead of finding music a distraction, these people learn well when information is presented through music.
Kinesthetic: Movement and physical activities help these people learn (usually kids’ learning style)
Intrapersonal: These people learn best if they associate new information directly with their own experiences.
Interpersonal: These people learn well by working with others.

心理学者による7つの基本的な学習スタイル：
言語：これらの人々はリスニング、リーディング、スピーキング、ライティングという言語を使って学びます。
論理：これらの人々は数式と科学的原則を適用することによって学びます。
ビジュアル：これらの人々は、彼らが何を学んでいるかを見て学びます。
ミュージカル：音楽を通して情報が提示されるときに、これらの人々はよく学びます。
運動感覚：運動や身体活動は、これらの人々が（通常は子供の学習スタイルを）学びます
個人内要因：これらの人々は、自分の経験と新しい情報を直接関連づけた場合、最良の学習をします。
対人関係：これらの人々は他人と仕事をすることでよく学びます。

Know Your (child’s) Learning Style…
You may encounter situations that do not match your (child’s) learning style.
If you know what your (his/her) strengths are, you can develop strategies to balance your (his/her) weaknesses for a more successful learning experience.
学習スタイルに合っていないかもしれません。
強みが何であるか分かっていたら
自分の弱点とバランスを取って
より良い学習方法の戦略を立てることができるかも！
